I am Emma Britton.

Before being diagnosed with ALK-positive lung cancer in April 2025, which was confirmed as ALK-positive lung cancer the next month, I was a celebrant, event host and freelance radio presenter.  Prior to this, I worked full-time for 13 years as a BBC local radio presenter across Somerset and Bristol.​

In August, I returned to BBC Radio Somerset to be interviewed by my friend and calleague Charlie Taylor to talk about how, after 4 months, I was dealing with the diagnosis.
