Crisis
Support

ALK Positive UK does not give crisis support but if you or someone close to you are feeling overwhelmed or at breaking point, please seek help immediately using the resources below.

Immediate Danger

 

Call 999 or go to A&E:  If you or someone else is in immediate danger, don't hesitate to call the emergency services or visit the nearest A&E department.

Urgent Help (non-life threatening)

 

Call NHS 111:  For urgent medical help that is not life-threatening, call 111 or visit the NHS 111 website.

Support Services

 

Samaritans:  Available 24/7 for confidential support on any issue.  Call 116 123 or visit the Samaritans' website.

Mind: Provides information on mental heath problems, local support, medication and treatments.  Call 0300 123 3393 or text 86463 - available from 9am to 6pm. Visit the Mind website.

Shout Crisis Text Line: Text "SHOUT" to 85258 for confidential support via text.
